Is Couples Counselling Right for You?

  • Conversations turn into conflicts – or get avoided altogether?
  • Trust feels shaky after a breach or a long session of disconnection
  • You can’t seem to get on the same page about values, faith, money, or parenting
  • You’re moving through a big life change and need steadier footing – together
  • You’re navigating the complexities of a blended family, step-parenting, or a second marriage

You’re not a alone, and don’t have to figure it out by yourselves. We help couples communicate more clearly, repair what’s been hurt, and strengthen the bond you both want.

How We Help

We use a gentle, parts-informed, attachment-aware approach with practical skills you can take home right away. In plain language: we’ll slow things down, help each of you understand what’s happening inside (so you can respond rather than react), and give you simple tools for calmer conversations, repair, and closeness.

What we focus on most often:

  • Communication tools you can actually use under stress
  • Trust & infidelity repair with stepwise, compassionate structure
  • Conflict cycles—spotting triggers and learning how to de-escalate
  • Faith & values differences—we offer both faith-sensitive counselling and Christian couples therapy options
  • Life transitions (moves, babies, career shifts, caregiving, empty nest)
  • Premarital preparation—using structured assessment tools to build a strong foundation before you say “I do”

What to Expect in Couples Therapy Sessions

  • First session (50 minutes): We meet together to understand your story, goals, and dynamics.

  • Ongoing sessions (50 minutes): Skill-building, guided practice, and gentle accountability.

  • Occasional 1:1 check-ins when helpful to support the work you’re doing as a couple.

  • Between-session practice: Short, simple exercises to keep momentum between appointments.

Most couples start weekly or bi-weekly; we’ll tailor the cadence to fit your goals and season of life.

Inclusivity and Faith Sensitivity

All couples are welcome. We work with diverse couples of all backgrounds, identities, and stages of relationship. If faith or spirituality is an important part of your story, we can include it in a way that feels respectful and client-led. If you prefer a Christian couples therapy lens, we also offer that option—see Dan’s bio below.
